To sum me up, I'm a homesteading, homeschooling, Christian Navy wife & mother of 7 amazing (albeit, wild) children. I'm also legally deaf and am part of the earpiece (hearing-aids) entourage.
With 10+ years of experience in hair and makeup, I specialize in second-skin, long-lasting, low-maintenance complimentary looks for all types of events from photo shoots to proms/balls, to weddings!

FAQ & POLICIES
How to Book/Payment Terms
A non-refundable retainer equal to 50% of the total service fee, paid by **credit or debit card only**, is due upon booking along with a signed service agreement.
For Event Services:
Your remaining balance is due at the end of your services and is payable by cash or card. There is a 3.6% CC Surcharge to any and all payments made by card. This fee is non-negotiable.
For Bridal Services:
Your remaining balance is due no later than *30 days prior* to your wedding date. This is to ensure you peace of mind on your wedding day knowing your services have already been paid for.
How to prep | Makeup
•Do NOT moisturize your skin the day of your makeup services. Your moisturizer may be incompatible with the products in my kit leading to pilling, patches, or other issues with the way the makeup sits on the skin.
•Do NOT come to your appointment with makeup already applied. Removing pre-exisiting makeup will cut into your allotted appointment time so it's best to come with a clean and dry face to avoid any potential additional fees to cover delays or overage.
•Tell me about any and all allergies or areas of concern you're either wanting covered or more exposed. This will allow me to properly plan how to be able to accommodate your needs and requests within the allotted time frame without delay.
•There's a ZERO TOLERANCE for eating/drinking or phone usage while services are being rendered. Without your full attention, this will cut into your allotted appointment time which cannot be extended, especially for bridal coverage.
Travel Fees
All EVENT on-location services rendered within 25 miles of 23438 will be free of any travel fees. All BRIDAL on-location services rendered within 50 miles of 23438 will be free of any travel fees. On-location services rendered beyond their included allotted travel mileage will incur additional fees at the rate of $1.00/mi, round-trip.
Weddings requiring ferry/tolls, house permits, parking fees, and/or pre-wedding hotel accommodations will incur additional fees as deemed necessary.
LARGE PARTY/second artist fee
All parties consisting of 8+ members, including the bride, or parties on a restricted time constraint will incur a required additional fee of $225 to cover an additional artist for assistance with bridesmaids/party members. Bride's makeup will be covered by myself.
Payment methods accepted
As stated, your 50 % non-refundable retainer MUST be paid via credit or debit card.
You may pay your remaining balance via cash, check (MUST be made out to 'Sara Vance' with 'Sara Lou Vance LLC' written on the memo), or card. Apple or Google Pay is not accepted at this time.
event makeup Cancelation/tardiness
You must arrive on-time to your scheduled appointment. Arrivals beyond 15 minutes will not be extended to accommodate you and MUST be rescheduled. Whatever service you have booked allows for only the amount of time allotted for within your service agreement. Late arrivals will have that much less time to complete your service(s).
You will be granted one free reschedule if notice is given within a timely manner prior to your appointment. Any further reschedule requests will require a new retainer/service agreement.
In the event of a no-show, all retainers will be held as liquidated damages for loss of business and a $25.00 USD inconvenience fee will be applied to any further services.
You're free to cancel at any point up to an hour prior to your appointment. Upon cancellation your retainer is held as liquidated damages and a new retainer/agreement is due for any further services.
***Cancellations for bridal or elopement services are subjected to the stipulations within your contract. Please contact me for further questions.***
EARLY START FEES
Non-bridal services rendered before 9a will incur an additional 'early bird' flat rate fee of $25. Bridal services rendered before 8a will incur an additional 'early bird' flat rate fee of $75.
How to Prep | Hair
•Avoid perming/relaxing hair any less than 3 days prior to your appointment date.
•Hair must be brushed, clean & blow-dried straight prior to my arrival on appointment day. This allows for proper adherence to the schedule & minimizes delays.
